Samples: Total Dust Control Solution Leads to Statistically Zero Exposure
13 12 2017
SPRING, Texas, Dec. 13, 2017 -- Two sources of industrial hygiene testing confirm AIRIS Wellsite Services' proven technology and workplace best practices lead to levels of compliance that surpass OSHA's new, stricter silica exposure standard.
Sampling was completed during a recent project in Arkansas' Fayetteville Shale. All samples bettered the OSHA standard for crystalline silica dust exposure, keeping silica dust exposure levels below the OSHA Action level threshold. 80% of the samples produced results below detectable levels.
Sampling done by AIRIS industrial hygiene experts was confirmed by the results of the operator's own industrial hygiene testing. These extremely successful measurements were recorded at every location sampled, which included hot zones for silica dust exposure including the blender and sand mover. Samples recorded in these areas show employees had a statistically zero exposure to respirable silica dust.
